For the first time, Nachum began to think of the baby as his very own brother. He could talk to him and play with him. Nachum wondered what his brother’s name would be.

He knew he would have to wait until the naming at the Bris Milah to find out.

Nachum kissed his brother’s cheek.

“Mommy, he’s so cute,” he said. “Look, he’s holding my finger in his fist. My hand is so big next to his.

Can I hold him on my lap for a little while? He won’t fall. I’ll hold him real tight.”

His mother put the baby in Nachum’s arms, and Nachum smiled.
