(1) That is, immersing a container full of Tamei water into a Mikvah until the waters of the Mikvah touch the Tamei water inside the container, making that water Tahor. This is Metaher the water because it is considered "planting" (Zeri'ah) the Tamei water in the Mikvah water and making it "attached to the ground" (Mechubar), like the Mikvah water. Anything which becomes attached to the ground becomes Tahor.
