1)
(a) The same Mishnah in Shabbos prohibits moving even four or five boxes, if
they comprise *all* the boxes in the store. What reason does Shmuel give
for this?
(b) Why might this restriction ...
- ... not apply to *our* Mishnah?
- ... certainly apply to it (from a 'Kal va'Chomer').
(c) Is there any way that one is permitted to move the fruit (in our
Mishnah) from one roof to another?
(d) Why might this restriction ...
- ... not apply to the Mishnah in Shabbos?
- ... certainly apply there (from a 'Kal va'Chomer')?
2)
We ask a final She'eilah with regard to a certain Chumra that applies to
'Mashilin' on Yom-Tov: whether it will not apply to the Mishnah in Shabbos,
because of Bitul Beis-Hamedrash, or whether it will certainly apply there in
view of the fact that there is no monetary loss. Which Chumra sparks off
the She'eilah?
3)
(a) The Tana of our Mishnah permits covering fruit to prevent it from
becoming wet and spoiling on Yom-Tov. According to Ula, this extends even to
a pile of bricks. What does Rav Yitzchak say? What is his reason?
(b) What Kashya do we ask on Ula from our Mishnah, which says 'u'Mechasin
Peiros be'Keilim ... '?
(c) What is the answer?
4)
(a) The Seifa of our Mishnah states 've'Chein Kadei Yayin, ve'Chein Kadei
Shemen'. Why does this seem to pose a Kashya on Ula? What should the Tana
have said, according to him?
(b) How do we answer this Kashya?
(c) This however, is only a suggestion. Why is there no proof for Ula from
the fact that the Tana adds 'Kadei Yayin and Kadei Shemen' to Peiros? Why
might the Tana include them, even if they were not Tevel?
(d) How will Rav Yitzchak establish various Mishnayos and Beraisos, which
permit placing ...
- ... a vessel underneath a leak?
- ... a mat on top of bricks?
- ... a mat on top of stones (that are designated for building purposes)?
5)
(a) When is a regular honey-comb not Muktzah?
(b) What do 'those two honey-combs' refer to, and what is special about
them?
6)
(a) Having designated the honey for the bees, those two honey-combs are
Muktzah. In that case, according to Rav Yitzchak, how can the Beraisa permit
covering them with a mat?
(b) What must one be wary of, when covering the honey-combs with the mats?
Is this statement confined to the opinion of Rebbi Yehudah )who holds 'Davar
she'Ein Miskaven, Asur', or would even Rebbi Shimon concede that?
(c) Who must be the author of the Beraisa?
(d) In that case, what does the Tana mean when he writes 'u'Vilevad she'Lo
Yiskaven la'Tzud? Doesn't Rebbi Yehudah hold that 'Davar she'Ein Miskaven,
Asur' (and certainly when it is 'P'sik Reisha')?
7)
(a) What is now the Chidush of the Beraisa? Is it not obvious that one is
forbidden to trap the bees that are inside?
(b) Rav Ashi dispenses with the need to establish the Beraisa by those two
honey-combs, because he takes note of the Lashon of the Beraisa 'be'Chamah'
and 'u'vi'Geshamim'. What does he deduce from there?
(c) How does *he* explain the Beraisa?

8)
(a) We learned in our Mishnah, that placing a vessel underneath a leak is
permitted. May one empty it out and re-place it should it become full?
(b) What did Rabah tell Abaye to do when a leak was threatening to ruin his
mill?
(c) On what grounds did Abaye query Rabah's ruling?
(d) What was wrong with Abaye's argument (see Tosfos DH 'Teisi Li')?
9)
(a) What did Abaye declare when his mill caved in?
(b) Shmuel permits taking out a 'G'raf shel Re'i' and an 'Avit shel Meimei
Raglayim'. He also permits returning the empty potties - with water in.
Why is that?
(c) Is the Heter of carrying them out, confined to the vessel in which the
offensive objects are placed, or does it extend even to carrying out the
objects themselves?
10)
(a) Regarding Isur Shabbos, there are three categories: 'Shevus', 'Reshus'
and 'Mitzvah'. What category of Isur is ...
- ... 'Shevus'?
- ... 'Reshus'?
- ... 'Mitzvah'?
(b) All kinds of hand-clapping and dancing (for purposes of rejoicing or
music) are included in Shevus. Which other two prohibitions, besides
climbing a tree, does the Tana list?
(c) The list of Reshus includes judging and becoming betrothed. Which
other two slight Mitzvos are also included?
(d) The third list (of 'Mitzvah') incorporates declaring something Hekdesh,
Erech or Cheirem. Which other group of Mitzvos are included?
11)
(a) According to the Tana of our Mishnah, do all of the above prohibitions
apply on Yom-Tov, too?
(b) What does the Mishnah list as the only distinction between Shabbos and
Yom-Tov?
12)
(a) Why did Chazal forbid ...
- ... climbing a tree on Shabbos or Yom-Tov?
- ... riding on an animal's back?
(b) Why can the reason for the latter not be because one may come to ride
outside the Techum?
(c) Why did Chazal forbid ...
- ... swimming?
- ... hand-clapping and dancing?
- ... judging, betrothal and Chalitzah and Yibum?
(d) Why are the following termed 'Reshus', and not 'Mitzvah':
- ... judging?
- ... betrothal?
- ... Chalitzah and Yibum?
