(a) What was Rebbi Chanina referring to, when he accused the Kohanim Gedolim of haughtiness?

(b) How did Rebbi Ula prove that that cannot have been the reason? What (more respectable) reason does *he* give for the fact that each Kohen Gadol constructed a new ramp for the Parah Adumah?

(c) Why did they deliberately build ledges etc. protruding from the ramp?

(a) According to Rebbi Akiva, the Mosar Sheyarei ha'Lishkah was not used to purchase wine, flour and oil for private people's Menachos, in order to procure funds for Hekdesh, nor was the Gabai of Tzedakah permitted to invest Tzedakah-funds in projects that would bring in more money for the poor.
What then, was done with it?

(b) What would be the Din in a similar case, regarding investing money belonging to orphans?

(c) Why is this forbidden by anyone else's money other than that of orphans?

(a) 'Rebbi Yishmael Omer, Mosar ha'Peiros, le'Kayitz ha'Mizbei'ach'. According to Rebbi Chiya b'Rebbi Yosef, when Rebbi Yishmael speaks about 'Mosar Peiros', he is merely extending the Din of Mosar Sheyarei ha'Lishkah, which he mentioned earlier.
What is Mosar ha'Peiros, according to him?

(b) And what is Mosar Nesachim?

(c) According to Rebbi Yochanan, Rebbi Yishmael holds that the fourth Sa'ah is *Mosar Peiros*, not Mosar Nesachim.
What is Mosar Nesachim, in his opinion?

(d) Does Rebbi Chiya b'Rebbi Yosef not agree that the Mosar Nesachim is Birutzin (how can he argue with a Tosefta which says that Birutzin goes to Kayitz ha'Mizbei'ach - Tiklin Chadtin)?

(d) We just learnt that, according to Rebbi Chiya b'Rebbi Yosef, the Mosar Nesachim, incorporating Birutzim, went to purchase K'lei Shares. How can K'lei Shares be purchased from Birutzei Yachid?

(a) Why might there be a difference between wet Birutzin and dry Birutzin, with regard to the contents of a K'li Shares becoming sanctified?

(b) What proof does the Gemara bring from the Mishnah in Menachos 'ha'Nesachim she'Kidshu bi'Ch'li, ve'Nimtza ha'Zevach, Pasul'?

(c) What happens to those Nesachim if the accompanying Korban was not found ...

  1. ... if they found another Korban with which to bring the Nesech?
  2. ... if they did not find another Korban with which to bring the Nesech?

What is the problem?

(b) In fact, what the Hekdesh builders construct is not initially sanctified.
So what procedure do they then follow?

Who were they?

(c) What happens to the money in the event that nothing is owing to Beis Garmu and Beis Avtinas?

(d) How come that Rebbi Chiya bar Ba first asked the Sha'leh, and then answered that it goes for Kayitz ha'Mizbei'ach?

(a) What does Rebbi Yossi b'Rebbi Chanina learn from the Pasuk in Ki Sisa "Kodesh Hi" - regarding Ketores that was mixed in a K'li Chol?

(c) The Gemara establishes Rebbi Yossi b'Rebbi Chanina like Shmuel, and Rebbi Yehoshua ben Levi like Rebbi Yochanan. How does the latter interpret a Mishnah later 'Hamakdish Nechasav ve'Hayu Bahen *Devarim Re'uyin le'Korbenos Tzibur'*? What are 'Devarim Re'uyin le'Korbanos', and who declared it Hekdesh?

(d) How does Rebbi Yossi ben Chanina reconcile this Mishnah with his own opinion (even according to Rebbi Yochanan's explanation)?

(a) What does Shmuel say about the grinder in which they ground the Ketores (like Rebbi Yossi b'Rebbi Chanina)?

(b) It transpires that, according to Shmuel, Ketores can be redeemed (to pay the workers), even though it was prepared in a K'li Shares. What is the problem with this?

(c) We answer that Shmuel follows his own reasoning. Because elsewhere, he says 'Hosiru Temimim Nifdin ki'Temimin'.
What does that mean exactly, and how is it possible for Hekdesh to go out to Chulin just like that?

(d) What does Rebbi Yochanan say there?

(a) What will be the Din regarding goats of a Chatas Tzibur (of Rosh Chodesh Adar, for example) that had not yet been brought by Rosh Chodesh Nisan - according to ...
  1. ... Shmuel?
  2. ... Rebbi Yochanan?
(b) According to Rebbi Shmuel b'Rebbi Yitzchak, they are brought as Kayitz ha'Mizbei'ach.
What is the problem with that?

(c) Rebbi Yossa answers that it is the Shechitah that fixes the status of Korbanos Tzibur (and not the declaration of Hekdesh).
What does Rebbi Chiya answer?

(d) What is the difference between the two answers?
