Pekudei

"These are the accounts of the Mishkan as they were rendered according to the command of Mosha........."(38:21)

In Parshat Pekudei, Mosha is giving an accounting of all the donations given by Yisrael for the building of the Tabernacle (Mishkan). We can Bezer Hash. learn a very valuable lesson from this accounting.

A person must make a personal accounting of all the gifts given to them from Hashem. Every person is given a gift or gifts to be used by that individual for the sole purpose of sanctifying G-ds name.

For instance,
(1) if a person is wealthy, is he or she using their money for good?and /or,
(2) if a person was blessed with wisdom, is he or she using it for good or chos vesholom evil?

Just as Mosha had to make an accounting for every gift given for the Mishkan, so to must every person account for his or her personal gifts given to them by Hashem. Our sole purpose in this world is to recognize and to sanctify G-ds name.We must, therefore, ask ourselves the following: Are we utilizing our G-d given gifts properly?

Have a good Shabbos Bezer Hashem........
