Although Kabbalists in all generations have been engaged in healing the sick, helping people in distress, and offering guidance to anyone who sought it, these deeds were only the result of their compassionate natures that they developed so arduously, and not the aim of Kabbalah. The experience of Kabbalah implants a holiness in the hearts of its followers. They attain higher planes of consciousness and gain a new harmony with all their surroundings. These aspects as well as their love and affection for all beings, contribute to their self perfection. Despite being engaged in the study of the higher Realms of Existence, the Kabbalist does not become disconnected from daily life, community, and family. On the contrary, his deep understanding causes him to have a special good-heartedness towards every detail of life, and emphasizes an awareness of the meaning of Human Relations.
