Nidah 6

1)

(a) If a woman sees a bloodstain, how far back in retrospect, is the bloodstained garment Metamei the food and drink that it touches?
A Nidah is Metamei a sealed earthenware vessel through Heset.
(b) What is Heset, and why can she not be Metamei it through touching?
If a woman sees a bloodstain, she has upset her calculation.
(c) What does this mean, and why is it not the case by a woman who sees blood?

(d) What does the Beraisa mean when it writes 've'Eina Monah Ela mi'Sha'ah she'Ra'asah, and what is the Chidush?

2) According to the Rabbanan of Rebbi Akiva, is a man who has relations with a woman who saw blood Tamei retroactively?

3) Assuming that Rava knew the above Beraisa, why did he need to learn Mishkav u'Moshav from a Kal va'Chomer, why did he not learn it from the Beraisa itself (had he not known the Beraisa, then how would he know that earthenware vessels are Tamei retroactively?)

4)

(a) According to Rav Huna, who learns that Mei'es Le'es she'be'Nidah is only Metamei Kodesh but not Terumah, why is Mei'es Le'es not included in the Mishnah in Chomer ba'Kodesh (in Chagigah), which deals with the Chumros of Kodesh over Terumah?

(b) What will Rav Huna do with the Mishnah later, where Rebbi Yehudah says that when she finishes eating Terumah she must examine herself , and which Rav Chisda explains to mean - in order to ascertain that the leftover Terumah is Tahor, and will not become Tamei when she examines herself the next time.

5) Rebbi practiced like Rebbi Eliezer, who maintains that any woman who does not see blood for three periods of thirty days, (even a young woman) we say 'Dayah Sha'atah'. After he remembered, he proclaimed 'Keday Hu Rebbi Eliezer be'Sha'as ha'Dechak'!
(a) What could he not have meant, and what *did* he mean?

(b) Why does this at first appear difficult on Rav Huna?

(c) How does Rav Huna resolve the difficulty?

Answers to questions

6)

(a) What did Rabban Gamliel's maidservant ask Rabbanan Gamliel, why did she not accept his initial answer, and what was his final ruling?

(b) What were the loaves of *Terumah* that she baked?

(c) What is the correct procedure of baking and separating these loaves, and how many loaves should have been separated - to be given to whom?

(d) Which procedure did Rabban Gamliel's maidservant follow and was it acceptable?

7) In another episode, Rebbi's maidservant again asked Rebbi the same Sha'aleh about barrels of wine.
(a) Assuming that both Sha'alos concerned Hekdesh, why did she need to ask the same Sha'aleh a second time?
In the second Lashon, Rav Huna does not differentiate between Hekdesh and Terumah.
(b) How does he prove this?

(c) How do we now explain the Beraisa, which explicitly writes 'le'Kodesh ve'Lo li'Terumah'?

8) If a dough in its first stages, became Safek Tamei, *before* it was kneaded, then one is permitted to knead it be'Tum'ah; but not if it became Safek Tum'ah *after* it was kneaded.
(a) Why is that?

(b) Considering that the dough is Safek Tamei, so that the Kohen is anyway forbidden to eat the Chalah, from where do we know that one is Chayav to guard it against Vaday Tum'ah?
