You are allowed to wear gloves outside, however, it is not preferred.

A pair of tzizis that is not kosher but still has kosher strings attached is prohibited to be worn outside on Shabbos.

Chapter 301 Section 39

A string which is usually sewn onto the clothes is permitted to carry on Shabbos. However, if it is only attached on one side, even if you plan to re-sew the other side, it is prohibited to wear outside on Shabbos.
