Parshas Mikeitz
In the posuk, the brothers say to their father that Yosef would ‘take them for slaves and take their donkeys too’. Why does it specifically mention their donkeys?
Ramban—explains that the brothers were afraid that he would take their donkeys with the food they got in Mitzrayim. They would therefore not be able to send home food and all would die.
Rabainu Bachayaa---explains they were worrying about their donkeys since when travelling in those days animals were absolutely essential. They were concerned that they would not be able to travel home again.
