Beitzah 1:2

When you properly slaughter [shecht] a non-domesticated animal or a bird, the torah commands that you must cover some of its blood.

Bais Shammai says that you can slaughter a non-domesticated animal or a bird, on which you will be obligated with covering the blood. You must have a shovel placed in a pile of dirt that was brought in and placed on the ground [so it is not muktza], which will be used to cover the blood. Bais Hillel says, since the dirt is on the ground, it is muktza and should not be used. This is assuming you did not schect yet, however once the animal was slaughtered already, you could use it to cover the blood.

Ashes from before YomTov can be used to cover the blood.

Beitzah 1:3

Maraas ayin means doing something in front of others that people will suspect is something wrong.

Moving a ladder from one window to the next in one dovecote is permitted to get a bird to eat on Yom Tov, as there is no maraas ayin. Bais Shammai says you cannot move a ladder to a new dovecote as it is maraas ayin, since people will say you are using the ladder to fix your roof. Bais Hillel says it is permitted.

Since doves are not domesticated, they are muktza. Bais Shammai says you must hold one before Yom Tov and designate it to be used on Yom Tov. Bais Hillel says that all you have to do is say this is the one I will use.
