Beitzah 1:6
Terumah is not allowed to be taken off on Yom Tov.
Matanos are the front foot, cheeks and stomach that are supposed to be given
from a slaughtered animal to the cohein.
Bais Shammai says even challah and matanos which could be taken on Yom Tov
cannot be sent to a cohein on Yom Tov. Bais Hillel says with terumah this is
correct since it cannot be taken on Yom Tov, however, challah and matanos, since
they could be taken on Yom Tov, you can send them to the cohein.
Beitzah 1:7
Since grinding spices is not done in quantity for a later time [like grinding
grains], chazal said it is permitted but it must be done in a slightly different
way.
Bais Shammai says spices must be crushed with a wooden chopper and not in the
normal way using a stone chopper. Salt cannot be done with a chopper, but rather
a wooden spoon or a jar. Bais Hillel says spices can be done normally in a stone
chopper. Salt can only be done in a wooden chopper.
