Beitzah 3:6

Selling, which is rabbinically prohibited, is only prohibited if it looks like normal selling.

You cannot get a group together to buy an animal on Yom Tov. However, if you got together before Yom Tov to make the purchase and are just dividing it on Yom tov it is permitted. The Chachamim say you cannot measure pieces on Shabbos . R’ Yehuda says that you can weigh meat against a utensil.

Beitzah 3:7

You cannot sharpen a knife on a sharpener on YomTov but one knife against another is permitted.

You cannot tell a butcher, ‘Give me a dollar’s worth of meat’. However, without being requested, the butcher can give out the meat.
