Succa 3:1

A lulav that was stolen or dried out is pussel. A lulav from an ashera tree or from Ir Hanidachas is pussel. If the top was cut off or the leaves fell off it is pussel. If the leaves are spread out it is kosher. Reb Yehuda says that you should tie it on top. Tzeni har habarzel is kosher. A lulav must have three hand breaths to wave and one hand breath on the bottom.
