Moed Katan 1:4
You can trap moles and rats in an orchard or grain field on Chol Hamoed and
Shmitta in a normal way as these animals cause damage. The Chachamim say in an
orchard in a normal way and in a grain field in a not normal way.
You can block a hole in a fence to a field on Chol Hamoed and on Shmitta, and
it can be fixed in a normal way.
Moed Katan 1:5
R’ Meir says a cohein can look at a nega to be lenient on the person but
not to be stringent. The Chachamim say you can not look at all.
R’ Meir says you can collect the bones of your father on Chol Hamoed. [In
times of chazal, they would first bury a body to rot and then put it in a
special place.] R’ Yosee says you cannot as it causes unhappinesss.
You should not cause weeping or say a eulogy 30 days before Yom Tov as the
sorrow might linger until Yom Tov.
