Moed Katan 2:4
You cannot buy houses, slaves or animals unless they are needed for Yom Tov.
You can also buy them if the seller needs the money for food.
You cannot move objects from your house to another but only to your own
courtyard.
You cannot bring utensils from a craftsman on Chol Hamoed unless you are
afraid they will get stolen then he can take them to different courtyard.
Moed Katan 2:5
You can cover drying figs with straw so they will not get ruined. R’ Yehuda
says you can even pile the figs to protect them and it is not considered extra
work.
You can sell fruits, clothing or utensils as long as it is not in the public
for the purpose of Yom Tov.
You can trap, make cereal or bean smashing as long as it is not in the
public for the purpose of Yom Tov. R’ Yosee says these people were stringent
and didn’t even do these things in private.
