Parshas Shemos
The posuk says ‘vayar Elokim es Bnei Yisrael vayaida Elokim’ - Hashem saw Bnei Yisrael and Hashem knew. What did Hashem see and know?
Ramban--- explains that at first Hashem did not want to see the hardships that were happening to Bnie Yisrael. Surely, physically Hashem saw but he turned his eyes away. When the time was ripe Hashem turned his eyes to them and now knew what was happening and decided to start helping them.
Rabeinu Bachayaa--- explains that Hashem saw what was happening to Bnei Yisrael, all that was happening in the open. Additionally, Hashem knew what was happening, all that was hidden from human eyes.
